Adding Colour to History

This was captured at Angkor Wat in Cambodia. I loved the bright colours worn by the Monks against the grey walls of the temple. I was literally running after them to capture it without anyone else and without them knowing about it.

Summer & Autumn

I am glad I finally have the same place captured in 2 different seasons. Well, it's a bit obvious that I cheated a  little. I am re-using the same pic I have put up in the previous post. However, I managed to click the exact location in Autumn. Regent's Park in London is perhaps one of the best parks this city has.

Dawn & Dusk

Ever since I caught hold of the camera it was one of my many little wishes to capture the same spot in 4 seasons. I haven't managed that yet! The closest I have come is capturing a place in the early hours of the morning and at the time of sunset. I have not modified this pic and I am proud to say that! This was captured from my mobile at Regents Park in London.

To be Elite

This pic made me smile. It's rare I visit an art gallery and sometimes I wonder what's in the painting or what was in the mind of the person who created it. I see people giving wonderful comments about the paintings which I completely don't see. This pic on the wall teaches those like me what to do when you don't quite get the art! Clicked in East London, near Brick Lane.

SugarCane Juice

On a really hot summer day while travelling from Pune to Shirdi, we took a detour to visit the sacred place of Shani Shinganapur (known for the trust that people have in others and the place that there are no doors/windows to any homes). We stopped on the state highway to have some fresh Sugarcane juice which was made by a cow walking around this instrument which crushed the cane to get the juice out. I couldn't help but capture this shot of.

A Red Bicycle

This was taken at one of the canals in Amsterdam - This place confused the hell out of me about what to click and what not to. There are cycles parked everywhere, there are canals everywhere and the buildings have the typical architecture as the one you see in this one. I walked around like mad to find a bike in a colour other than Black. What this pic misses however is a bridge which is so characteristic of the city. Well! I decided I could not have it all - what I like here is the bright bike with the buildings in the background.

Bettada Hoovu (Flowers on a Hill)

A scenic place does not require great skills to be captured. This was taken at Lake District, England from a random hill overlooking Lake Windermere. I liked to highlight these little flowers which are actualy weeds and then take the scenary as a background.

Taxi!

Taxi is so sexy, was what Amitabh said in Cheeni Kum. When I call a taxi it's two things that come to my mind - a comfortable ride and a hole in the pocket. My heart starts beating faster as I see the meter tick in a taxi. Well.... I liked this shot of the taxi at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris in heavy traffic - a typical weekday evening.

Charlie Chaplin

Loads of people entertain others on the streets, in markets and other public places to make a living. Some are so talented and it always crosses my mind that they perhaps never came across an opportunity to make it big. This artist was enacting Charlie Chaplin and did a brilliant job of it. This pic was shot at Covent Garden Market in London.
*Clicked from the phone, resolution isn't great.

A Parisian Coffee Shop

Coffee....I can confirm that this won't be the only pic on this blog to show my addiction to Coffee. I love Coffee Shops and I also enjoy people watching. This was clicked at a small Coffee Shop near Notre Dame in the Latin Quarter of Paris.

Sunrise from a Ballon

This was captured from our hot air baloon over the Masai Mara in Kenya. We were up in the air to witness all the stages of the sunrise from darkness to complete light,  a beautiful experience, one of the most serene moments.  I liked this one the best as it looks like the baloon is making its journey towards the sun.
